Although Jim has absconded with Reena for birthday celebrations in Dollywood, I’m making the most of the rain with these guys. Brunch with Joe always means good food and a new great album.

It’s raining in the A.
1. move couch down two flights of stairs, realize you’re not strong enough to complete the task and slide it to the bottom.
2. get new couch from thrift store
3. name new couch elliot and realize he smells like old lady farts
4. make some new friends at the corner of Ponce and Boulevard
5. drive our new friends Carlos and Jaime back to the house to help us move elliot in.
6. buy some febreze.
Lady Rogue got us started twittering. Or me at least. She’s having a thing on it on April 8th at Park Grounds for anyone who’s interested!

great inspiration
Coming back from M has been harder than being in M. Reena and I have been having trouble communicating with just about anyone— I feel a little bit like an alien life form. If that wasn’t enough, Reena was so sick on Monday and Tuesday that she could hardly pick up her head off the couch. While we were out at the doctor, Hector took the opportunity to enjoy a delicious snack of chocolate and yogurt covered peanuts and rasins.
The first trip to the vet was pretty painless, Hector puked up his snack and was fed some charcoal to settle his stomach— unfortunately, sometime around 9 that night the charcoal came back up all over our couch and then the back seat of Reena’s car, smelling distinctly like old McDonald’s frying oil. Yummmm.
The silver lining is that we found a new, more awesome old lady smelling couch at StepUp. Now how we get the old one out is another story entirely.
The picture above is from my new favorite place in the world: Dr. Bombay’s Underwater Tea Party in Candler Park. In addition to having maybe the best coffee shop atmosphere ever, they also have a large collection of stimulating reading material. As you can see, I’ll be spending the evening catching up on good sorority rush conversation topics (“Elitest sports you play for fun, not competition, like skiing or tennis”) for the small price of fifty cents.
This place feels like cuba or something with the slightly cool breeze wiggling the little pink paper flags stretched from wall to wall. I think I’m in love.
Slowly but surely getting back to work. This jam is helping.
<3 you, of Montreal.
