Damn, y’all. I think we all need some pie.
Hydrangea Haven (via Melissa3000)
Last week Reena and I met with the new owner of a Hydrangea Paradise in Chambly. Rogue Apron will be hosting a dinner there within the next month or so.
The garden is incredible and the man who lives there with his daughter are wonderful. The thought right now is to go with an Alice in Wonderland kind of theme— there might even be costumes involved … .
You. Me. May 16th. Let’s give away some freaking PIE.
take a look at the map of FREE PIE ATL
It’s slowly coming together … and FREE PIE ATL is gathering steam. We’ve been lucky enough to meet with folks from Armchair, BeDo and of course, Rogue Apron and are on our way to an amazing Pie Day Extravaganza.
We need any help we can get— have you got old plates you want to get rid of? Amazing pie skillz? A guilty conscience? We’re going to need all sorts on the 16th— bakers, helpers, giver-awayers, busers, documenters, and of course pie eaters. Email me at mcullens at thisisrelish dot com if you want to get involved and keep up, free-pie.org will have a sign up sheet available tonight!!
Spring is here. Trader Joe’s has a fresh stock of my favorite flowers (who would have thought they’d sell ranunculuses??) and the days are getting longer. I’m hoping it will inspire me to do more bike riding than car riding.
This weekend Reena and I are spending out saturday with Rogue Apron helping a local urban garden called Harvest Farms get it’s start.
We’ll be starting the recruiting process for ATL Free Pie that day too, so if you have any interest in working with your hands, eating a delicious picnic with tasty home brews and meeting some rad people, you should come out!
